1. Teacher - Hover over the desired presentation and select Live session.
Student-paced is a premium feature.
A join code (PIN) will be assigned to the current session of this presentation.
2. A PIN or login code will be generated and displayed. The code is unique for each session of a presentation.
Share the PIN by showing it live in the classroom (ex. write on board), email a link to student email addresses, or by posting a link on the teacher website or in Google Classroom.
3. Students will use the Neapod app or www.nearpod.com website to join with the PIN.
4. Students will be prompted to enter a name to join the session.
5. Students will be taken to the first slide of the presentation. They will not be able to advance the presentation independently in a Live Session.
The teacher will control the pace of the lesson by advancing the slides for the whole group at one time.
(If a teacher chooses to link several individual questions together, students can progress through the linked questions portion of the presentation at their own pace)
6. The teacher view and student view are not the same.
Teacher View:
On slides that are editable by students, the teacher does not see the actual slide. Instead, the teacher sees a collection of all student responses.
Student View:
Individual slides with opportunities to view only, answer multiple choice questions, paragraph text response, drawing and/or highlighting, or respond to a poll as designated by the teacher.
Teacher View - For this drawing slide, the teachers sees a thumbnail of each student's work.
Student View - The student sees the editable slide and can draw, text, or highlight.
**Teacher may not want to display the teacher screen since student answers will be reflected.
